Whistler Village is a town center in a resort town located in British Columbia, the westernmost province of Canada. Shopping in Whistler VillageThere are over 200 stores that offer whatever a shopper could possibly have in mind to search for or to take back home. No matter what a traveler's taste or preference, it can be found in Whistler Village shops and boutiques. Pedestrians Only Within the VillageWhistler Village's first priority is a return to pedestrian rights. There are no cars driving through Whistler Village because it is a pedestrian haven where vehicles are not allowed and offers visitors a quite unique car-free experience. Designed for foot traffic, Whistler Village has abundant comfort resources such as public restrooms, public telephones, excellent restaurants, spas, transportation services and visitor centers. Walk absolutely everywhere as this quaint little town is designed with the comfort of locals and visitors in mind! Whistler Restaurant ExperiencesWhistler Village offers over 90 restaurants and a worldwide range of cuisines to choose from. Any visitor can find anything from a quick latte to a dinner of eclectic seafood or Bavarian schnitzels. At the end of the day after all the sports and activities are finished, visitors are welcome to wind down at the many lounges, bars, coffee shops, and pubs located around Whistler Village. This is known as enjoying "après ski" and is something visitors to Whistler Village may not be familiar with but here is where visitors to Whistler, BC have the opportunity to learn and enjoy. “Après” literally means “after” in French, and most people take this to mean after skiing. Whistler Village provides many outlets to enjoy "après ski" and activities can include dancing, talking, or having some drinks. Finding the Village StrollIn Whistler Village there is an area known as the Village Stroll. Whistler Transportation and ParkingPublic transportation is readily available around Whistler Village to and from ski lifts, hotels, shops and parking lots. For those planning to drive to Whistler, check the parking arrangements before leaving. There are daytime parking lots and fewer overnight parking spaces.
